The Greene County Law Library serves the legal research needs of the bench, bar, and public of Greene County. The library is open to the public for research; however, all materials must remain in the Law Library. Staff cannot give legal advice but will attempt to help patrons find books or other materials relating to the subject of their search.
Using hard copy and internet-based resources, the library makes accessible:
- annotated statutes from all states and the federal government
- appellate court opinions from all states
- trial-level opinions from many PA courts
- opinions from all federal district and appellate courts
- court rules from all state and federal courts and from PA common pleas courts
- agency regulations from all states and federal government
- ordinances from many Greene County municipalities
- sample legal forms
- legal digests, treatises, encyclopedias and practice manuals
- law reviews and legal newspapers
- a small collection of legal books written for the layman
